At Cockburn Ingram Road Academy we use Read, Write, Inc as our phonics programme. Children begin with phase 1 in our nursery and work through the scheme in reception and KS1.
As well as daily phonics lesson, children receive additional 1:1 tuition and children who do not pass the phonics screening check in year 1 continue to receive phonics sessions, with children in KS2 receiving the 'Fresh Start' intervention.
